totally agree with u scott, very well put! i think the LAST thing carly wants to do is to appeal to just young teens. like L.A reid said, she has SOUL. and shes touched the hearts of MILLIONS of people worldwide. im a guy and rarely cry, but i have to admit a few of carlys performances had me in tears. this girl is powerful, and as mayor rosenblum in mamaroneck said at the parade, carly has an angelic voice of the gods and we are all blessed to be able to hear her and enjoy her talent

Alex…that is good news, I didn’t realize that she had more original music, perhaps there will be music released quickly….something else to look forward to. And Mary Beth having a discussion with you is tiresome, you don’t get it. So what I I’m older, she has an incredible voice and is extremely talented. By your philosophy of the age thing you should only be listening to kids music produced by Nickelodeon but I’m guessing that’s not the case. Besides Carly’s goal was to reach an audience that spans generations and she’s done that. I’m 38, run a very successful business and I’ve seen fans as old as 75 and as young as 5 post things. Thats the beauty of great music from someone with an incredible voice, it doesnt matter the age of the person making it or listening to it, if it makes you feel good and touches your heart thats all that matters. Other than Tate Stevens, I can guarantee none of the other finalists will ever reach that feat. Enough bantering with the negative people….

hey scott, i also heard that she has written more than one song, which is very exciting news. quite honestly i think it doesnt even matter what type of music she does, this girl brings magic to whatever song she sings. im just so excited to hear more music from her, cant wait to buy her album the day its released!

hey mary-beth, carly rose isnt trying to appeal to just her age group, shes trying to reach EVERYONE with her beautiful voice and very cool style, and shes doing a very good job of it, cuz like i said before, she clearly has fans of all ages whether u like it or not. anyone who is a real fan of music, and a real fan of the talent it takes to perform at carly rose’s level, is going to be able to appreciate what this girl brings to the table. and thanks scott o’ brien! i agree with u too. carly rose fans forever! lol

And Alex…well said. I love the soulful style she puts in every song, tough to do for anyone, more so at 13. When she eventually does an album I’m quite certain there will be a balance of contemporary/pop songs of course with her soulful twist mixed with some nice slow or ballad type songs. She did write her own song and completed the recording on it some time before the show aired so she might be able to release something sooner rather than later….

Mary-Beth you have no idea wat you’re talking about when it comes to soul music, it’s not a genre, it’s what the artist brings to a particular song….again Kelly Clarkson isn’t 60 but sings soul style pop music, so does Bruno Mars, believe it or not there are also country singers who bring soul to their music. any chance you like 5th Harmony? Two of the singers in that group are clearly soul style singers….so you’re already listening to soul music, enjoy it, but clearly you’re too young to recognize it and its over your head.

Carly Rose is a hard working, smart, focused , driven, person and an extremely talented singer. She gives back to her community and has for sometime. It’s amazing that she is only 13 years old. her star is just being to shine. Carly Rose is going to be a super star for a long long time and she deserves it. #Wait4CarlyRosesAlbum
