I respect Mr. Irons’ viewpoint, but it won’t keep this confirmed Abbey Addict from reveling in each episode of Downton, hopefully for several more seasons to come. Comparing Shakespeare’s works to Downton Abbey is really an apples-and-oranges exercise. One doesn’t have to devalue one to support the other. How about enjoying both??
