‘Jersey Shore’s’ Pauly D calls out Abercrombie & Fitch

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock today you’ve heard about the PR problems clothing line Abercrombie & Fitch seem to be having with the cast of the Jersey shore.
Apparently Abercrombie & Fitch have offered to pay ‘The Situation’ and other cast members to stop wearing their clothing on the show and out to events and since Abercrombie & Finch made the move against the Jersey Shore cast their stocks plummeted 9% ($500 million).
Now ‘Jersey Shore’ cast member Pauly D has called Abercrombie & Fitch out on their own PR mess up. He tweeted a message to the clothing company along with a picture of one of their shirts sporting the Jersey Shore slogan ‘GTL’ and said;
“Hmmm if They Don’t Want Us To Wear Those Clothes Why Make GTL Shirts #yourPRsux” (In case you’re not familiar with the show G.T.L. is a phrase that was coined by the cast to mean “Gym Tanning Laundry”)

Abercrombie & Fitch has not responded to the cast call out or their stock drop, but we’re sure that someone, somewhere is getting an earful about the incident. Maybe the cast should just stick to Ed Hardy?

The stock drop is entirely coincidental, and the offer to pay the cast not to wear their stuff both promotes the clothing, and protects their brand image (they can look snooty and still cash in). A win-win for Ab & Fitch IMHO. A win for the cast as well on the free PR.
