While there have been a number of character discussed at length for “Glee” season 3 (including Rachel, Kurt, and Blaine), one of the standouts from season 2 being ignored at the moment by many writers is Naya Rivera’s Santana. Her story of acceptance and romance is one of the show’s most touching, and going into this September’s premiere we still have no idea if she and Heather Morris’ character of Brittany are ever going to get together. (At one point last season, it did seem like they were close to being together — but it just didn’t happen.)
However (and with a warning for spoilers), we do now know at least one thing when it comes to the upcoming season — Santana will be back with the Cheerios. According to a new report, Sue Sylvester is going to bring the character back into the fold and make her the co-captain — however, one of the primary sources of conflict is that the other co-captain is someone that is going to spark plenty of conflict.
So who could it be? It’s hard to see Brittany or Becky getting particularly upset about sharing, so odds are the more likely scenario here is that the co-captain is Dianna Agron’s Quinn. The only other option? That Sue brings in someone new to the squad, and there’s no one else really out there that seems like a perfect fit (especially for this position).
Are you happy to see Santana getting back into cheerleading again?
