2011 MTV VMAs: Lady Gaga joins Bruno Mars, Chris Brown as performer

The show is coming up soon.

If you were hoping that Lady Gaga would sign on to perform at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, your wish has just been granted.

MTV has just announced that the “You and I” singer would be joining the likes of Bruno Mars, Adele, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne in taking the stage for the August 28 broadcast, which is already being highly-anticipated as being a place where pop-culture moments can happen in the blink of an eye. (For an example, look at Gaga’s meat dress from last year — or from Kanye West snatching the microphone away from Taylor Swift.)

Some people currently announced as presenters for the show include Selena Gomez, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Kim Kardashian (which means that she may not be having a very long honeymoon if she plans on taking it right after her wedding on Saturday).

Are you happy to see Gaga taking the stage?
