Following the rather shocking news of the day concerning Russell Armstrong, the producers behind “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” have quite a debate. Do you delay the premiere date of season 2 (which was scheduled for September 5), air it as planned, re-edit the series, or cancel it outright? While we can speculate about it relentlessly on this end, it is ultimately a decision that only they are going to be qualified to make.
One of the major factors in this discussion is going to be just how much Armstrong is featured in the show. His wife Taylor is a principal cast member, and the couple’s strained relationship was a major focus in season 1. If it was going to stay that way this fall, then odds are they will end up changing the storyline to give Russell a lesser role in the fall. This could mean a longer post-production period, which could therefore delay the show’s start by a few weeks.
As of right now, Bravo looks like they are going to spend the next 24 hours trying to figure out what exactly they want to do with the show moving forward — and for the time being, TMZ claims that the entire cast is being told not to give any interviews. Shooting has also been suspended for the rest of the week.
What do you think the show should do out of respect for Taylor Armstrong and her family?
