In news that could come across as either stunning, exciting, or a little bit sad, Jake Pavelka is admitting that he would be interested in being “The Bachelor” again. Remember, this is coming from a guy who chose Vienna Girardi to be his fiancee in early 2010, but then had the relationship end in such a nasty fashion that it seems as though he went on “Bachelor Pad” this season solely with the purpose of trying to pick up the pieces of his shattered reputation.
According to Ryan Seacrest, Jake is saying that he would do the show again under the condition that there was a little bit of a break — but at this point, it’s hard to see him ever getting that chance. Jake has become by and large such a polarizing figure that they would likely lose a good many viewers. People want a “Bachelor” they can root for, and whether it is fair to Jake or not it is harder for people to do that now that he has spent so much time in the spotlight.
If Jake did get another invite, he would ultimately be the second male lead to get another chance — most recently, Brad Womack tried again on the show to find love, and did end up becoming engaged to Emily Maynard. Unfortunately, their engagement ended with a breakup that was far more cordial, and it appears that the two still do get along even though the relationship did not work out.
Would you watch Jake Pavelka hand out roses again?
