KISS removed from Michael Jackson tribute concert lineup

Gene has been removed from MJ tribute

This really isn’t all that shocking to learn, but promoters of the Michael Jackson tribute concert that will be taking place in Wales has removed KISS from the musical line up due to comments bassist Gene Simons has made about Jackson in the past.

Michael’s fans were outraged when they heard that Gene Simmons was added to the tribute’s lineup and having been calling to have him removed.  Last year Simmons made some pretty harsh statements about Michael’s innocence concerning various claims that have been made in the past about the singer’s relationship with children.

Concert promoters have heard Jackson’s fans request to have Simmons removed loud and clear and they have responded;

“We have listened to Michael’s fans and are grateful to have been alerted to these unfortunate statements by Gene Simmons.  Under the circumstances we fully agree that even though KISS is a band Michael admired we have no choice but to rescind our invitation to them to appear in our tribute concert.”

Jackson’s estates sent a letter to KISS advising them that they will no longer be playing the tribute concert.

Like mother always said; if you don’t have anything nice to say, better not to say anything at all.
