I wish the people who write these articles would check on social media. Carly is already a super star. So Mark it is too late she is already known worldwide! I think on you tube alone she up near 100 million hits with a half a million following on Twitter. Regardless of her age(Simon calls her “not human”)she will be like Jackie Evanko and everything she touches will turn to gold. She is a very balanced human being and I would not count on her being ruined by Hollywood. She has been on broadway and tv she knows the business. Besides she is a “prodigy” like LA Reid said “rare talent”. Simon knows this and it is just a matter of time because ” A Star is Born”…

Out of the competition thus far, Carly, despite her age is superior to the other singers. Voting merely on what this will do to a 13 yr old is not what the show is about; it is picking the best artist in the show to win the competition. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be a contender at all. So, unfortunately Mark, your comments hold no merit. This time if America has it right, Carly should win this competition as she is the best, can sing anything with perfection, virtually rewrites existing songs to make them her own. Carly should win!!

You people who are blindly voting for Carly have been force-fed as ‘dumb Americans’ to vote for the best singer, not at all realizing the impact that will have on their lives later on. Example, does Carly get the 5 million or her parent’s to put in a trust for her? And how long before she’s all over the gossip sites for dating so and so and her first kiss and every life event she should be experiencing in her teens is played out in public? Get a clue people before you ruin another life!

I will never watch these shows unless this who going after 5th as adults was a ploy to turn them into underdogs period so they could make it here then slip into the win, but even so it’s a pretty twisted way of throwing everything but the kitchen sink at some girls who want so bad nothing but to spread their joy of singing and friendship. In this day and age don’t we need that more than another child star ruined?

Carly is 13 folks, give her a chance at being a kid, obviously being a child star gets you nowhere, look at her mentor.. Oh wait, it’s Britney.. Who just because richest female musician this yr.. How?

Carly could have mentored herself, she’s Melinda Doolittle if anything but so much younger, give her the freedom to live life as a kid and don’t vote for her please!!

I think well-rounded Carly has what it takes. She is actually innovative, takes risks, and makes things her own, as opposed to just singing replica, drone-type renditions fitting the mold. She has what it takes to make new and great things happen with a stellar voice and creative notion. Even if she does not sell sell sell, cannot success be assessed in other ways? Does it have to be about sales all the time? There is much more to music than that goal.

This is the most reasonable assessment I’ve read recently about the finale. Fifth Harmony ftw!
