At some point in S3 Brody will emerge to tell Carrie he figured out who the mole is or more precisely, who framed him. Deathbed Danny knew and told Brody about Carries ECT. (Sorry i didnt visit u in hospital carrie). He cleared Estes office so Brody could get codes. He probably provided the combo number. He could have tipped Roya about The tailor as well as the hidden C4. (Admittedly I wasn't watching carefully). Although he has no other role in the plot, he is kept alive after the Gettysburg debaucal only to re-emerge for the failed factory search for Nasir. It could have been to mis-direct the search, to make contact with Nasir, but most probably his scene was just to delect suspicion away from him. (Sorry says Carrie).and then there's the fact that DD, having the credentials to be at Langly and move Brody's car is conspicuously absent in the Finale. My apologies to all for sloppiness of this comment but Homeland viewers should be used to it.

Initially I suspected it was Saul, but he knew Carrie was going to be at the service. In a plan to clean out the CIA so he could be in charge with Carrie working right under him, Carrie being blown to pieces would be a pretty big problem.

I imagine anyone accounted for among the bodies wouldn't be the one behind it either. Not so much for the idea that I don't really see any of those characters being the suicide bomber type, but more just on the idea that the third season probably wouldn't be quite the same if the person behind it all was dead before it all even started. There needs to be someone to hunt down, someone to evade their efforts, someone to misdirect them. The bomber being among the dead is simply too clean an ending for season 3.
