This theme has worn thin and was never funny to begin with. The Raj character is funniest when he has some backbone – like when he put the huge desk in Sheldon’s office.

I have to agree with you to a point about Raj’s striking out again. Having his interaction with a girl off camera left us wondering what he said to her – and this way we will never know. Raj is a very handsome man and it is unbelievable that no woman wants to talk to him. I remember in Season 5 when Raj was introduced to the deaf golddigging girl – and Howard, who can communicate in sign language, had to tell him that it was NOT Raj that came off as being smooth – but rather Howard, who intervened and made it so Raj would not come off as a dork. Raj has had some success in the past, after all – remember Summer Glau? (That is until he realized he was drinking non-alcoholic beer)
