It didn’t even need the dressing up of the background singers. It’s practically impossible to change this song without someone wanting to punch you in the face, but he did it and we all swooned.

The live version is even better than the iTunes version. I think the top three are Cassaddee, Terry and Nicholas, and if so, it’s a horse race to see who wins. For the third or fourth week in a row, song choice is critical because they are all super. I can really say I’m looking forward to seeing each of their careers take off.

Especially Blake’s two. I have been a fan of Terry from the get go…and still am. But I have recently been won over by Cassadee Pope. The song choice by Blake Shelton this week in Stupid Boy, was pure musical genius! First time I have fell in love with a song performance the first time I’ve heard it! Usually it takes weeks of hearing a new song on the radio before I get emotionally attached…but Ms. Pope managed the unimaginable! I can’t wait to download her take on Stupid Boy. I don’t remember hearing that song from Keith Urban before…but it’s beautiful..and Cassadee made all of us in my family say, wow, did you just hear that??? Perfection!
