Mr. Gilligan said it himself, he wants to take Walt from starting out as Mr. Chips and ending as Scarface. If you have ever seen Scarface, you know how it ends. And as if to brace us for what is to come, a little fore shadowing is thrown in during season five when Walt and Jr. are actually watching Scarface as Skyler looks on in dread and Walt mutters, “everyone dies in this movie”.

I think that this show has achieved something rare. Something that the godfather achieved. A scenario where you are rooting for the villain. I love breaking bad and hope that Walt will ride into the sunset so to speak but with the way amc shows tend to lead towards I don’t see that scenario happening.

i feel its ending at the right time. despite all of the horrible things he’s done, i still love walter, and hope he gets out of this show alive. maybe ust since its a tv character, i can still root for him. and i dont dislike the other characters who go against him. i love all the characters. even tuco!
