Mrs Carter: A little bling can make the heart sing, just ask Ashley and J.P.
The “Bachelorette” series finally had a winner at the game of love as Ashley Hebert married her soul mate, J.P Rosenbaum on Saturday December 1st in Pasadena, California. There has been a lot of drama lately concerning the romances from the “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” falling to pieces rather quickly after the series is over (and sometimes even before the series has finished airing), but Ashley and J.P. have proven that the show really can work if you’re there for the right reasons.
Although not everyone could be invited to Ashley and J.P.’s big day over the weekend, ABC will be airing their wedding special on December 16th, so you can check out Ashley’s dress, J.P.’s tux and of course their rings! Neil Lane designed Ashley’s 3.5 carat cushion-cut engagement ring, and with J.P. and Ashley’s help, the three of them designed their wedding bands together. Lane spoke to People about the design process with Ashley and J.P. and this is what he had to say:
“We wanted to do something very special for their bands and all of Ashley’s wedding jewelry. All three of us worked together on the bands over the last month and for Ashley, we created a design for a handmade, platinum band with French-cut diamonds in the middle section bordered by round diamonds on the side (above). They loved the jewelry — and they really love each other.”
Lane went on to say that J.P and Ashley are the real deal – their love is true and that these two will go the distance when it comes to their marriage. He said:
“When I first got to know them in Fiji, I knew they were going to last. They were so affectionate and then when I’ve seen them since it was clear they were a very true, inseparable couple ready to go on life’s journey together. It’s like they have goo-goo eyes for each other! They’re love-struck!”
Be sure to tune in on December 16th on ABC to watch Ashley and J.P.’s wedding special and make sure you have a box of tissues handy as it’s sure to be an emotional event.
