Mrs Carter: Do we refer to her as Mrs. Jenelle Rogers now or wait until spring?
“Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans and Courtland Rogers had a very brief romance (3 months) before Courtland asked Jenelle to marry him. Only two weeks after he got down on one knee and proposed to his fiancee, the two decided to get married at the courthouse. Evans sister told Radar Online that the couple wed on December 4th, and that the surprise nuptials “shocked” everyone in the family. She said: “My mother was totally shocked and had to hear it from someone else. Our whole family is shocked because they have not been dating very long. I’m sure she did this to distract from all the drug accusations that have been flying around and of course she thinks it will help her get custody of [her son] Jace back from mom if she is married. At this point, after all that she has been through, she should know better than this.”
Jenelle spoke out about her courthouse marriage to Courtland on her Twitter account, saying that the actual wedding will take place in the spring. She wrote: “We aren’t having the actual wedding until the spring like how every other American usually does it duh.”
And in case you’re wondering if Jenelle and Courtland decided to get married fast because she is pregnant, you can stop that right now. She told her Twitter followers: “I’m not pregnant. Jesus, still only weighing 100 lbs over here… Lol”
Now there are a lot of naysayers out there that are giving the reality star and her new husband a lot of trouble for getting married so fast, but who’s to say that one timeline is better then another? Some people feel they need to wait years before marrying their one true love, while others don’t want to wait and marry right away so they can start their lives together sooner rather then later. So before putting someone on blast for marrying to quickly it’s important to remember that the length of time you wait to get married isn’t the issue, it’s whether or not the couple is right for one another and some people can figure that out faster then others.
