On the other hand, you call other people (Watson, Gregson) by their last names, which is, and always has been, the usual convention when talking about non-BBC versions of Conan Doyle’s creations. Every time the review switches from last names to “Sherlock,” for a moment I think you’re bringing in some comparison to the BBC.
