As we get started with the weekend, there are a pair of “Dancing with the Stars” stories that are catching our eye — and one of them has to do with the fall 2011 cast announcement that is coming later this month.
In a new interview, Derek Hough has finally confirmed that he will return for another season on the show, which he left temporarily in order to shoot a film project entitled “Cobu 3D.” Even already, Hough is saying that the time away did him a world of good:
“When we’re doing the show we’re in the bubble and we get into the stress and the drama and all of the behind the scenes stuff. It was good for me to take a season off and see what he audience sees. It gave me a new boost and inspiration to want to do some great things.”
We don’t know who Hough’s dancer partner will be yet (maybe Snooki?), but the pressure is on as he is the only three-time champion on the show (with Nicole Scherzinger, Brooke Burke, and most recently Jennifer Grey).
Kim’s still struggling
If you think that Kim Kardashian’s brief time on the show back in 2008 has helped her in the real world, think again. In a new video from Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” (which you can see below), Kim walks into a dance class and quickly feels like the worst person in the room. Kim worked with Mark Ballas during her time on the show, but was eliminated a few weeks in. (Ballas has, however, taken up the job of choreographing Kim’s wedding dance with Kris Humphries.)
