Adam was right. Cee-lo’s song selection was a stroke of genius. It was clear that there was something special about this guy when his version of “Jolene” surprised everyone and allowed him to knockout an expected finalist. But this felt different. It was like Cee-lo picked the perfect song to lead Cody to discover his true self as a performer, and we got to see it happen. I am floored by what he did last night.
