‘Glee’ season 4, episode 5 preview: Cory Monteith gets a pep talk (video)
“Grease” is about to be the word on “Glee” season 4, and Thursday night’s installment “The Role You Were Born to Play” is going to be a perfect precursor to the production that will be coming up just one week later. This is going to be a difficult production in particular for Cory Monteith’s Finn, and there is one primary reason for it: he’ll be having to adjust to a new role as director that he does not think he is even remotely qualified to do.
Thankfully, this is where some help from some old friends comes into play! In the latest sneak peek for the show below, you can see Artie bring in some people to help Finn get the amount of confidence that he needs to order to lead this show to the promised land: specifically, we are talking about none other than Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.). This is the first appearance that either actor on the show has made since their characters graduated from McKinley High during the season 3 finale, and it will be curious to see just what they have been up to since then.
As for Finn, he is going to have quite a bit on his plate here. It’s likely that he will still be trying to deal with some rough emotions following his breakup with Rachel, and he has always been insecure doing things that he is new at . The one thing that makes this even worse for him here is that his typical mentor in Will is not going to be around to help him, since he is off working on a project in Washington DC.
