Shouty Matthew is a still bit on the high horse, isn’t he? That was a low comment. I hope dad in law reminds the lad that daughter Mary once thought he was ruining the family by bringing in cousin Matthew as next in line to Downton. Maybe Robert can borrow a pair of the cricket balls and remind his heir who is still Earl of Grantham. I’d hate to see once-proud Robert end this series slinking off once again with his tail between his legs after being chastised by someone. The way this is going, Robert will make the play that loses the game for his side, too (is that possible in cricket? must be) and they can all beat him up on the pitch. He isn’t perfect, but he ain’t an old man ready for pasture yet. Let the man find his pride somewhere this season.
