Several months after Chad Johnson was arrested for domestic violence following an incident with “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada, it looks as though she may be getting ready to try and have the no-contact order against him lifted. Does this mean that the two are heading for a reunion after filming a wedding for a now-canceled television special? Far from it; instead, what we are really looking at here is a situation where she is just trying to move forward, and leave all drama related to the currently-unemployed NFL star in the past.
According to a new report from TMZ, Lozada will ask a judge to lift the order once Johnson completes the batterer’s intervention program that he was required to complete as a part of his sentence in the case. After this is over, she will also reportedly ask the judge to terminate his probation so that this phase of his life can also be over. If nothing else, this shows that Lozada is not even remotely interested in dwelling on anything that happened in the past with Chad, She just wants to try and push forward and get back to some of what she does best, including decided where her reality TV career goes from here. Season 5 of “Basketball Wives” will air on VH1 next year, but we wonder what the sentiment is like with her and her co-stars now after everything that she has went through.
As for Chad, we may start to get a sense of if a football team will be genuinely interested in taking a chance on him soon, as we are almost at a point where the trade deadline will have passed, and teams will really have to try and seek talent from elsewhere if they are looking to make a change to their roster. Chad would be an enormous risk, though, and we are not sure it is one a club will want to take.
