Lauren Alaina’s post-‘American Idol’ debut (‘Wildflower’) arrives October 11

The album is coming up.

Just as we recently announced that Scotty McCreery’s debut album was going to be entitled “Clear As Day” and will hit stores on October 4, we now have a similar announcement when it comes to the reigning “American Idol” runner-up in Lauren Alaina.

In her own personal announcement, Alaina announced that her debut album would be entitled “Wildflower,” and it will hit stores one week after Scotty on October 11. She also went on to explain the meaning behind this title:

“Wildflower is the perfect name for my first album. I would consider myself a wildflower because wildflowers are sweet, but then they have a little bit of spunk to them – they are ‘wildflowers.’ I like to have a lot of fun and I’m really sassy, so I feel like a wildflower would be a good description of who I am as a person. I also recorded a song on this album called ‘She’s a Wildflower’ that was written by Steve McEwan, Hillary Lindsey, and Gordie Sampson.”

Lauren recently released her first music video for “Like My Mother Does,” but there is also some sad news to go along with all this — due to an illness, she is not able to perform during the “Idol” show in Baltimore.

Are you excited for Lauren’s release?
