Big news for Scotty McCreery fans — the “American Idol” champion now has an album title and an official release date.
In a new statement written by Scotty himself, the announcement was made that this album would be entitled “Clear As Day” — and that it will be in stores on Tuesday, October 4.
In describing the album (which was recorded both in Nashville and on the “Idol” tour), here is what Scotty had to say:
“Clear As Day is definitely country and it’s definitely me. It has some old country influences and elements, but it also has a contemporary feel with fun up-tempo songs. It’s a good mixture. You can hear some of the influences that I grew up with, like Hank Williams, Conway Twitty and Merle Haggard, but it still has a contemporary twist and feel that keeps it up to date.
“We tried to pick songs that related to me, but also songs that others would feel and relate to. That is the main goal: to make an album that you like. We focused on making the best music possible. I can’t wait for you to hear it and let me know what you think. I’m really proud of it and so grateful to have the opportunity to record an album before my 18th birthday. Of course, none of the success of the last year would have been possible without you, so let me end by sayingthanks for everything.”
What do you make of this album title, and are you planning to line up to pick it up?
