‘Glee’: Lea Michele, Charice targeted in shocking (and false) rumor

This smells untrue…

Could Lea Michele actually have been responsible for getting Charice off of “Glee” for this coming season? As shocking as that may seem, that is what one source is alleging to tabloid In Touch Weekly.

Specifically, this “source” claims that Charice’s strong vocal talent may have somehow created an air of jealousy between the two parties somehow:

“I think Lea was intimidated by Charice’s talent. She made sure Charice wasn’t asked back for season three.”

Is this story even remotely true? Don’t count on it. For one thing, Charice is well-known for being one of the kindest people around. In addition, there are likely two reasons why we won’t be seeing her on the show this season — and neither have anything to do with Lea at all:

1. Show co-creator Ryan Murphy has expressed a desire to do away with most guest stars and focus more on the characters.

2. Charice has a busy schedule moving forward that includes concert gigs, work on an upcoming album, and other scheduled appearances.

If you want any further evidence that this is false, know that Murphy would never get rid of a major character just because of any supposed jealousy. (Not that Lea is even jealous, anyway — a source tells RumorFix that these rumors are indeed “100% false.”)

Production has started on the third season of “Glee,” which will premiere in late September.
