i see both sides. idk, with dish, amc hasnt been too long established in originl programming, and it took them a few years for mad men and breaing bad to earn good ratings, and while the walking dead does extremely well, its one show. mybe dish felt that amc should wait a couple more years to be established before they pay the, the rate they were asking

however i see amcs pov also. while it took a while for breaking bad and mad men to grow in popularity, the walking dead from the get go was the highest rated scripted cable show on tv( in the importnt 18-49). then in season 2 they rose to unbelievable insane levels. they beat a lot of broadcast networks, pulling 4.7s something i never though a cable network could do, and a few years ago, had someone told me a cable channel would do it, i would not thoguht amc would be the one.

but i think with season 3, they have the potential to be the 2nd highest rated regular programming on tv cable or boradcast, only to be beaten by footbal, and some believe it could be the #1. for sure it will be the # 1 scripted show though. the fact that a cble show could be in the top 2 for the whole seson is so mind blowing. i never thought this could happen. if season 2 was unbelievably insane than season 3 (5.8 for the premiere) is undescribable. they will need to create a new word to describe it. it is beating out shows like the voice, or the big bang theory this seson. and even in big bangs theorys ratinga rime during season 3, walking dead is on r with those ratings this season. and i think, they could stay about the same, and at this point, i could see walking dead getting into the 6s this season, snd the 7s in season 4. Tht would be something. it will be exciting. it will be, and it is already, a mark of new rules and a changeup in the game of ratings.

anyway, so i think both sides had good points, but i think when they pulled that (insert new word here) rating for the premiere, i think both parties realized they wnted to this settle this immediately. glad it wored out. wish dish and amc the best of luck

both dish network and AMC. AMC has always showed old black and white movies along with other stuff. but The Walking Dead is the show that BROUGHT AMC all of its viewers. Therefore does it matter that they are expensive dish network. It shouldnt as long as the viewers are watching.
