Is Jill Zarin contemplating an exit from “The Real Housewives of New York City” after four seasons? While she remains one of the most popular members of the cast, it appears as though her busy schedule (along with some of the drama associated with dealing with these women on a regular basis) is getting her to consider saying goodbye.
The report first surfaced via a Huffington Post source — though there was never any claim that she was for sure checking out of the Bravo show’s future. In a statement, manager Darren Bettencourt explained that there is at the moment no official decision on the subject of Zarin’s future on the program:
“Jill was the very first Housewife cast on The Real Housewives of New York City and is grateful to be part of a pop-culture phenomenon that is one of the highest rated docu-series on television. Jill is grateful to Shed Media US and Bravo for opening the door to some amazing opportunities.
“… In addition, Jill has been able to promote her philanthropy work through the Housewives series and none of this would have been possible without Bravo. While no decisions have been made about next season, Jill will always consider herself part of the Bravo family that helped change the landscape of television.”
Zarin has spoken out recently about some of the emotional turmoil that has come out of some confrontations with co-star Ramona Singer, in particular one where she tried to confront her about a possible “drinking problem” during the show’s reunion special.
Do you think Zarin will end up staying put, or do you think she is better off at this point to leave in order to do other things in her career?
