Only a matter of hours after Jef Holm and Emily Maynard finally confirmed the worst-kept secret in America in that their engagement is over, the tabloids are already doing just about everything they can to come up with some sort of spur-of-the-moment justification for why the two parties are no longer together after just a few short months. Thus far, we have heard all sorts of crazy things whether it be infidelity rumors, random fights, or even conspiracy theories that the two parties actually shared Emily’s salary in order to stay together for an extended period of time and save themselves the embarrassment of having a quick breakup.
So what’s the new story? Basically, it comes from an Us Weekly “source” (one likely close to Emily), who claims that the former “Bachelorette” was just consistently unhappy with the man that she picked at the end of her season:
“Emily just decided that she’s had enough … Emily was extremely miserable. She was like, ‘I’m dying, I’m dying here.'”
The tabloid claims that it was Emily who ultimately decided to pull the plug on the relationship, which may be something supported by Emily’s claim that the two were at “different points in their lives” in her statement. It also says that the two are really not even talking to each other, and have already unfollowed each other on Twitter. (In other words, this may not be the easiest breakup in the world; but when are they ever easy?)
