‘The Bachelorette’: Jef Holm, Emily Maynard drama carries over to Facebook

If Emily Maynard and Jef Holm really are not interested in confirming their breakup, then they are doing a terrible job at it.

First, there was all of the talk that the former “Bachelorette” was splitting up with the man she took on the show; then, the two more or less stopped talking to each other online or posting images featuring their new family. Those people who were probably still holding out hope saw their dreams dashed further when Emily and Jef each changed their Twitter background photos, and now, we have what be the final slice of concrete evidence for the giant reality-show breakup cake. Rather than us talking about Twitter this time around, we are instead going to another popular form of social media in Facebook.

While Jef has a private account on the networking site, he apparently does not have one that is private enough. Why? Reality Steve, who is really responsible for blowing up the lid on this breakup to begin with, recently posted an image on his Twitter account that was taken from Holm’s personal Facebook. In it, the message is pretty simple: the man is no longer “engaged” on the site, and is now listed as “single.”

There is one question that really begs to be asked here: why in the world would Jef decide to handle his personal life this way? If we had to guess, we are thinking that the couple may not actually be planning on releasing any sort of statement at all in the context of their relationship, and could be looking to just weather the storm for a while and eventually go about their lives. It’s possible that after so many months of craziness, privacy may be the one thing they are truly hoping to have.

What do you think about Jef changing his status like this? If you want to see where Jef is heading off to now to escape from the drama, all you have to do is click here.
