It’s pretty easy to say that the climate surrounding “The Bachelorette” has changed rather dramatically since it was first announced that Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum were going to be married by the end of the year. We have not only seen the end of Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson’s relationship of around a year, but Emily Maynard and Jef Holm also look to be pretty close when it comes to announcing that they are also done after being engaged for just a few short months. We need a pick-me-up from all these hard times, and hopefully this special (complete with all of its proclamations of true love) will be the very thing that does the trick.
This special is entitled “The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding,” and we do at least know for certain now courtesy of an ABC press release, that this will air this coming December. Sadly, there are still a number of other details still under wraps, including the exact date and just who from the show’s franchise will also be making an appearance. We’re sure that Emily Maynard (who was on Ashley’s season with Brad Womack) will probably get an invite, and the same goes for some other popular couples including the now-expecting Jason and Molly Mesnick. Chris Harrison will also not only be there, but will serve as the host to give us that extra insight into everything happy before the “I do” moment.
This is turning out to be a rather strong winter when it comes to TV, and that’s not something we tend to say very often about the months of December and January, which we often like to refer to as “the June of winter” when it comes to finding new exciting programming week in and week out to watch. Hopefully, this will help us get through until Sean Lowe’s season of “The Bachelor” airs next year.
