As you probably heard from us a little earlier in the day, the writing is pretty much on the wall when it comes to the end of Emily Maynard’s relationship with Jef Holm. The two parties have been the subject of some heavy breakup rumors for much of the past week, and they have also now done what many people consider to be the kiss of death for their reality TV relationship: delete the photos of each other that they had on their Twitter profiles for much of the past several months. While this does not guarantee the end of two people being together in the same way as an official statement (which we’re betting will come as early as tomorrow), you can read enough into it to know that something bad is going on.
Now, we are also hearing from the man responsible for both “The Bachelorette” and “The Bachelor” about not only this relationship, but possible the other recent split of Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson. In a post on his Twitter account, here is what executive producer Mike Fleiss had to say:
“Three marriages and counting… If it worked every time, then it would cease to be real.
#noguaranteesinlove … Like with all relationships, only time will tell about Emily and Jef…”
Fleiss has been rather busy as of late trying to craft the next great love story for the show, but on this occasion it is going to involve someone that Emily turned away in order to be with Jef: Sean Lowe. This season is now several episodes in, but scoop from it has quieted down ever since the crew left Los Angeles for some more remote locations.
What do you thinks about Fleiss’ comments, and do you think that we as fans often set to high of expectations on these shows to producer marriages, even when it often fails to happen in real life, as well?
