Just a few mere hours after we reported that Emily Maynard and Jef Holm are showing more signs than ever that a split did in fact happen earlier this week, there is now more evidence to support their split mounting. So what is coming now? Wetpaint is reporting that a breakup did in fact happen, and it is pretty much official; however, People Magazine is taking a more conservative approach and merely saying that the two have barely spent any time together at all in the past week, and that signs are not looking good for the two parties.
So if the couple was really over, why would they wait to actually release a statement all about it? This is really the question that is nagging at us at the moment, especially since Friday is the perfect opportunity to do so. They can have the story hit the tabloids after some of them have already shut down for the week, and by Monday morning it will not be as big of an issue as it once was.
Our guess is that the couple is either still trying to work something out and are merely taking some time off, or that they are waiting to find the ideal time to break the news to the press. They may be waiting now for some of the hoopla to die down, or to get a little distance from Ben Flajnik’s breakup with Courtney Robertson in order to keep the show from being a little less embarrassed over all the bad news lately. These stories have in some ways eclipsed Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum setting a wedding date along with the recent news that Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney are expecting a child.
Now that there is so much smoke when it comes to the breakup talk, do you think there is fire?
