Finally, there’s some happy news coming from the world of “The Bachelor.” After finding out about the confirmed breakup of Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson, and hearing the news about Emily Maynard and Jef Holm possibly splitting, we now know that former show star Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney are now expecting their first child together. This news was confirmed in a post on Twitter by Mesnick, who already has a seven-year old son named Ty: “Yes its true! WAHOOOOOOO!!! Molly is going to be a MOM and TY a BIG BROTHER! YIPPEEEEEEE!”
This is really yet another happy ending for a couple after what was originally a rather complicated love story. Originally, Mesnick chose Melissa Rycroft as the winner of his season, but later changed his mind and asked Malaney to be his during the “After the Final Rose” special. At the time it was one of the most shocking moments in the history of the franchise, and Mesnick was even seen as a pariah by some people accusing him of breaking Melissa’s heart. However, things have changed since then, and these two have become one of the most-beloved couples to ever come out of the show. They also happen to be the only star and contestant from “The Bachelor” to actually still be together. (Trista Rehn from “The Bachelorette” is also still married to Ryan Sutter, and the two have children together, and there are also some “Bachelor Pad” couples if you choose to acknowledge its existence as a form of entertainment.)
The new season of “The Bachelor” features Sean Lowe in the leading role, and hopefully, he will have just as much of an opportunity to find happiness on this level. The show is already several episodes into taping, and should premiere on ABC in January. Want some more news on the season?
