It looks like on “The Vampire Diaries” this season, Klaus is not going to be as invincible as he looked at times during the final few episodes in May.
According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, Sebastian Roche is going to be coming over to the hit CW show to play someone who seems on the surface to be an amped-up version of Alaric. Here is how executive producer Julie Plec describes this individual:
“[He is] a very mysterious man who appears to be hunting vampires, most specifically Klaus. For some reason, Klaus, who shouldn’t be afraid of anybody, seems to be concerned about this person.”
There is also a rather hilarious story to go along with this. Roche’s character was originally supposed to be named Eric, but after naming another guest star’s role bill producers decided to change it so that no one would think they are jump ripping off “True Blood” from a creative standpoint.
Roche should already be familiar to CW fans as Balthazar from “Supernatural,” who was killed by Castiel in the season finale.
What do you think about this casting?
