‘So You Think You Can Dance’ host Cat Deeley marries Patrick Kielty

Mrs. Carter: Surprised? You should be; after all, a good many people close to Cat Deeley are, as well.

In a ceremony that was extremely private and under-wraps over the course of the weekend, it has now been revealed that the “So You Think You Can Dance” host has married comedian Patrick Kielty at a church in Rome, Italy. Just how private were these nuptials? Let’s just say that the two parties only invited sixty friends and family members to attend the event, and very few people has any connections to business at all. Speaking per Us Weekly, here is what a source who was at the event had to say on the matter:

“It was the most beautiful, gorgeous, chic and romantic wedding I’ve ever been to …┬áThe whole thing was sprung on the guests at the last minute, but you can tell a lot of time had gone in to the planning.”

Cat and Kielty first became friends while taping a BBC series entitled “Fame Academy” all the way back in 2002, and they only started dating last year. However, this was the perfect time for the two to be married in many ways. Although the status of Deeley’s hit dance competition is still up in the air, the audition rounds will probably start shooting early next year if it does return. Meanwhile, we are a little more doubtful that we will see the other Fox series she hosts in “The Choice” back on the air again, and this may be a good thing so that she does not have to damage her own talent by calling women down to talk about their bodies to ridiculous proportions.

Are you happy for Cat? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can check out more of the latest “So You Think You Can Dance” news by visiting the story that is up over at the link here.
