Gavin DeGraw has finally been released from the hospital following what was an incredibly brutal attack on the singer early Monday morning — and for his first message to everyone, he decided to keep it very simple.
Here is what Gavin wrote in a post on his Twitter account:
“Hi my friends. Honestly, I don’t remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys.”
It has now been confirmed that DeGraw will miss two shows as an opening act for Train and Maroon 5 — though his release from the hospital now does provide some hope that he will be able to get back out on the scene sooner rather than later to perform again.
To this point there have not been any more details released as to the reasons for the attack on the singer, or what the police are currently doing as a part of their investigation.
