It looks like the cast of “The Real Housewives of New York City” could end up learning sooner rather than later as to whether or not they are going to be coming back for another season. According to a new Twitter post by Rob Shuter of The Huffington Post, the cast is likely to learn at some point this week their fate when it comes to this coming season.
There are also some rumors going around that a couple of housewives are bracing to take (gasp!) a pay cut in order to remain on the show, which does have to balance financial viability with great entertainment in order to stay afloat. Filming is set to begin soon on the newest batch of episodes, which will not likely begin airing until next year.
At this point, it’s still too early to really even speculate as to who could be staying and who could be hitting the road. There’s little doubt that Jill Zarin and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps are two of the most popular stars, but you can also not discount the appeal of Kelly Bensimon to the show’s core audience.
Who do you want to see stay on the show more than anyone else?
