If you want to know just what is going to make season 3 of “The Walking Dead” stand out more than the previous two, it seems to be the danger; and yes, that may or may not be a reference to “Breaking Bad.”
So just how much turmoil are Rick and his fellow survivors in? Let’s just try to paint the picture here. Sure, Hershel’s Farm eventually became overrun by walkers, but the good news was that there were still places to run if the walls started to close in a little. Now, they are moving to a confined space that looks good in theory but may not be in reality; not only that, but there are more threats than ever present in the form of the living. In speaking on this subject per the Los Angeles Times, here is what executive producer and showrunner Glen Mazzara had to say:
“What we’ve done is open up the world so it’s less about our characters trying to find a safe corner in which to hide … I do think this year, the show feels more immediate and less theoretical. We’re not really dealing with questions of hope, what it takes to survive in this world. We’re doubling the threat, we have the zombies, we have the Governor.”
Will there be some new characters presumably on the side of Rick and the survivors? Sure, as we are going to meet Michonne; but while she is both strong and pretty intelligent, it’s pretty clear on this show already how one person (even one with a sword) can only do so much.
If you want to catch another unique way that you can watch “The Walking Dead” premiere if you are being locked out by DISH Network, all you have to do is read the story here.
