Chicago PD season 6 episode 12 video: Is Halstead a murder suspect?

At the center of this upcoming episode (entitled “Outrage”) is the death of someone who has ties to Jay’s past — which is a bad thing here, given that this means almost the entirety of the police’s focus has to be on him. This continues a rather not-great trend for intelligence as of late, given that the vast majority of attention has been on them for some rather untoward stuff. Take a look at the position that Voight was in at the end of this past season, and then, add to this for a moment where Ruzek is right now. The only reason that Antonio is not there at the moment is because Intelligence already bailed him out and he is working in order to get help.
The position that the unit is in now is even more perilous just because of Brian Kelton, the Mayoral candidate and police bigwig played by John C. McGinley. He and Voight have already crossed paths and we’ve realized already that it’s not going to be pretty moving forward between them. If Voight is not willing to play ball with him, what Kelton may be determining in turn is that he doesn’t really have all that much of a use for him anymore. We wouldn’t be shocked if, as this season goes along, we see Kelton apply even more pressure to Intelligence to try to either disband the unit or make their lives as miserable as possible.
For the time being, one thing certainly does feel clear — he is going to do just about everything that he can in order to target Halstead. We hope that Jay is prepared for an onslaught that may be coming his way — we’re sure that he will have the support of the entire unit, but that may only go so far … especially if there is some other evidence pointing towards him.
