Gavin DeGraw to miss Maroon 5 gig following attack

Gavin is recovering.

While Gavin DeGraw seems to be on the fast track tor recovery after being the victim in a brutal brawl on the streets of New York City Monday morning, he is going to end up missing at least one concert as a result.

Per new reports, the “I Don’t Wanna Be” singer will be replaced for Tuesday’s Maroon 5 and Train concert in Sarasota Springs, New York by Nikki Jean — as for his future with the tour (for which he has served as an opening act), that seems to be somewhat up in the air at the moment.

A statement for Adam Levine’s band reads as follows:

“The band was horrified to hear what happened to Gavin and sends their best wishes to him for a speedy recovery.”

As previously reported, Gavin is being treated at Bellevue Hospital after being attacked on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and later ended up getting struck by a cab.
