For one of the first times, we are getting a genuine look behind the scenes at “American Horror Story” rather than just in a teaser clip that lasts all of fifteen seconds; and based on what are seeing here, it looks like we are in for some great craziness.
First and foremost, Evan Peters announced in this video that he is really not a fan of being tortured, which is really what separates what is happening to him this season compared to what we saw from him in the past. Meanwhile, we also have some interesting scoop in here about the asylum itself, as it was apparently a tuberculosis ward before it was turned into a place for the purpose of housing mental patients in 1964. This is very much going to be an interesting situation for these patients, mostly because they are going to be subjected to forms of “treatment” here that they would have not otherwise received.
We also have to say here that when it comes to visuals, this show really looks fantastic thus far. Much of the landscape is very monochromatic inside the asylum, and it almost feels as though you are watching a color version of a black-and-white movie (if this phrase alone really ends up making much sense to you at all). There are going to be twists and turns all over the place, and the horror that is established for some of these characters this time is far more frightening than what they even saw in the first season. Why? Let’s just say that it may make them question what it really means to be insane.
