Ever since Emmy weekend, we have written a good many thoughts about “Game of Thrones” season 3 through the lends of two of its most-popular actors in Emilia Clarke and Richard Madden. With this in mind, isn’t it time to hear the thoughts of someone else about the new season?
The bad news here is that Michelle Fairley’s recent comments to Celebuzz are not even remotely revealing in terms of giving us any real spoilers on the new season; however, we can at least say that she does a pretty good job at giving us a little bit more of a sense about how the cast is feeling as we approach the new batch of episodes:
“[You can expect] lots of wonderful things. Brilliant, brilliant scripts. It’s bigger and it’s better. It’s wonderful. It’s been real fun to do.”
Fairley also said that she would love to see the Stark family back together again in some way during this new season, though we are not entirely sure at all this is going to happen given just how divided all of them are at the moment. Robb is at his camp following his wedding, Aria is still separated from everyone, Bran is on the run Beyond the Wall, and Samsa is in a pretty terrible position now that King Joffrey may be running out of a use for her. As for Jon Snow … we’re sure that Fairley’s Catelyn never really considered him part of the family to begin with. There is also Theon Greyjoy, but we all saw how well his last visit to Winterfell worked out.
As reported previously, season 3 has moved on from Northern Ireland and is now shooting in Croatia. Hopefully, we’ll get a better sense as to what sort of action is going on there soon. The show is currently set to return to HBO on Sunday, March 31 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
