First, there was the concept of photo-bombing that has become popular over the course of the past several years. Now, recent “Bachelorette” contestant Arie Luyendyk Jr. has created something that is somehow even more hilarious: video-bombing. Somehow, two seconds of this has managed to grab headlines even more so than Justin Bieber’s performance on “Dancing with the Stars”.
So what is the context here? Basically, it was at the very end of Bieber’s performance of “As Long As You Love Me” that we saw this happen, as the cheers in front of Arie in no way seem important compared to the brilliant look on his face. The photo here really does it do it justice, as you can see Arie’s face light up in the video when he realizes that the camera is actually on him. The other funny part of this? That his pal and fellow former “Bachelorette” contestant Jef Holm was sitting right next to him, but yet he wasn’t shown at all.
While Jef and Arie were attending this show, another familiar face associated with Emily Maynard’s season in Sean Lowe was starting off a journey of his own as “The Bachelor” in Malibu, a gig that Arie turned down a little earlier in the summer so that he could focus more on racing (much to the disappointment of women everywhere). It was actually this sport that was as much of a reason why he was at “Dancing with the Stars” as his connection to ABC; he is friends with fellow IndyCar racer Helio Castroneves, who was declared safe in the first results show of the season. Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson was sent home.
