‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Will Luna return?

Let’s face it: the wait is going to be a long one until “True Blood’ comes back and starts to air its sixth season beginning next summer. However, it’s never too early to talk a little bit of scoop!

With that in mind, we have some new comments (per TVLine) that are coming to us courtesy of Janina Gavankar at the HBO post-Emmy celebration on Sunday night; and really, the major theme here was whether or not Luna is going to be back for another go this season after appearing to be in some huge trouble in the season 5 finale:

“I may or may not be going back to work in January. I’ll say this: We will answer any question marks that were caused in the finale.”

Admittedly, we have been pretty worried about Luna’s fate on the show ever since it was announced that Gavankar will be playing a role on the upcoming Fox comedy “The Goodwin Games,” something that suggests that she could be hanging up her shapeshifter hat for good. However, you also have to remember the following: thanks to Anna Paquin’s pregnancy, the sixth season of the show is going to be shortened to just ten episodes. In addition to that, we already know that Luna is not a character who could feasibly have to appear in every moment in every season. She could just make a few sporadic appearances here and there, and still have time to film her other guest spot to go along with it.

Do you want to see more of Luna on the show’s sixth season, or are you hoping for Sam to either try to delve into romance elsewhere or simply end up alone? If you want to hear some more from Alan Ball about the future of Luna and other characters, all you have to do is visit the link here.
