While sometimes there is some “How I Met Your Mother” scoop out there that can move mountains, this time the scoop that we have is a little bit more focus on something that is small but still speculation-worthy: episode titles.
Remember when we reported that the upcoming fourth episode of the season was going to be titled “The Bro Code for Parents”? Well, that has since been changed, which makes some sense given that the original name was a little bit obvious even for this show. According to a new report from SpoilerTV, the episode now has the playful title of “Who Wants to Be a Godparent?”.
Really, the title here serves up what should be a little bit better of a debate moving forward with the show. On one side of the coin here, this name is a very clear reference to some tension that is going to come between Barney and Ted here over who will get the honor of helping to watch over young Marvin Waitforit Ericksen’s life in a meaningful (and official way). The good news for Robin? Based on the fact that she is the only other female member of the gang, we have a feeling that she has more or less officially locked in on getting to be the female godparent … and considering what she want through last season when it came to children, this could be a great thing for her.
In other news, the site also reports that the upcoming seventh episode of the season is going to be entitled “The Stamp Tramp.” Could this be a reference to the character Abby Elliot is going to play? It’s possible, but we don’t think she is going to be turning up yet; if nothing else, we do just love how this is the flip on the words “tramp stamp” that we are accustomed to seeing.
