We don’t know how Giancalro Esposito is finding so much time in his schedule at the moment, but we are nothing short of grateful. Despite snagging a series regular role on NBC’s new show “Revolution” (and not to mention having the door open for more spots on “Once Upon a Time” and maybe even “Breaking Bad” for a flashback or two as Gus Fring), the Emmy nominee has signed on to dive back into the world of “Community” yet again.
Several months after he first made a memorable appearance as Pierce Hawthorne’s brother in a very meta episode all about video games (and being thrown into their world), TVLine is reporting that we will see more of Esposito in an early episode in the NBC’s comedy’s fourth season. What sort of role is he going to play in the story? That much is uncertain, but the episode did at least end with him and Pierce on petty good terms with each other (which is pretty good news, considering just about everything that they ended up going through with each other in the span of half an hour).
This news is just one of many welcome signs that “Community” is still going to be worth going crazy about, even in spite of the turnover with Dan Harmon no longer steering the ship. We know that there is going to be an episode themed all around an “Inspector Spacetime” convention, and we will also have an opportunity to meet Jeff Winger’s dad for the first time.
What do you think about Giancarlo’s return, and Do you want to see some more news coming up on “Community” this season revolving around everyone’s favorite Dean? If so, all you have to do is read the story that is up over at the link here.
