Gavin DeGraw stable following attack, taxi incident

The singer is stable.

We now have a few more details when it comes to the surprising hospitalization of singer Gavin DeGraw following an attack in New York City on Sunday night.

According to police sources from the New York Post, DeGraw had just wrapped up a night of drinking with some friends on the Lower East Side of Manhattan when he was brutally beaten by a group of thugs. As he tried to stumble off following the attack, he was then accidentally hit by a taxicab.

Ultimately, DeGraw is doing all right considering his circumstances — only suffering a broken nose and cuts to his face. An onlooker ended up calling 911 for the singer.

For now, here is all a rep for the singer is saying:

“Gavin DeGraw was assaulted … and was taken to the emergency room at Bellevue Hospital by ambulance. He is currently under observation. We have no additional information at this time.”
