A new episode of “The X Factor” is coming up on Wednesday night, and with this being the final week of the show’s auditions this season, we better get ready to see some pretty exciting and/or crazy things.
So what is the biggest moment of the week going to be? While we don’t know if it will reach the Panda Ross level of greatness, we are going to see an audition courtesy of one Sophie Simmons. Yes, this is the daughter of Gene Simmons (who was featured on the family’s A&E show for several years); though as we reported when this was filmed back in June, we still do not have any idea if she can actually sing or not. Her motivation supposedly for being on the show was to prove that she could find success without the help of her father, so we will just have to wait and see if that ends up sticking.
The one thing we do appreciate about how the show is running things this season is that really, they are only forcing us to have to watch three weeks of audition episodes before getting us to the phase where we really start to whittle things down. Hopefully, this will lead to a little bit longer stretch of live shows this year than in 2011, but we don’t know for sure that will happen given what Fox is planning to do with baseball and the Thanksgiving holiday this year. Last year, they ended up airing Simon Cowell’s show at all sorts of bizarre times.
Do you think that Sophie Simmons is going to be a good singer, if for no other reason than that she would not be auditioning otherwise? Be sure and share your thoughts below, and check out some highlights of some of the other notable contestants from this season.
