“Castle” loves to come up with some of the most creative cases out there, and there is one at the moment that we are looking forward to more than just about any other: the visit come up by Castle and Beckett to their version of Comic-Con.
Remember when we recently told you that there was going to be a character whose name alone (in Captain Max Richards) from the show that made his famous was going to be a major sort of “Firefly” reference? Well, we now know the man who will be playing this washed-up actor, and it is someone who has a rather extensive history in science fiction all its own.
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, it will be “Eureka” star Ed Quinn who takes on this role with a smile on his face. Ironically, we actually don’t know the character’s real name yet, though they will probably just go by “Captain Max” or something of this sort as a reference to days gone by. (After all, this is what most of their fans will probably know him by.) The character actually ends up being involved in one of Castle and Beckett’s cases after one of their biggest fans is found dead … which of course brings up all sorts of questions of foul play. This episode is being directed by “Star Trek” icon Jonathan Frakes, and has a title that certainly makes some sense with this in mind.
Do you think this is absolutely perfect casting that fits the tongue-in-cheek nature of what executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe is trying to do here? We want to hear some more of your thoughts below! Also, be sure to head over to this link to see what Stana Katic is saying now about the future of the Castle / Beckett romance.
