Now that ‘The Bachelorette’ is finally over, Ashley Hebert and her fiancé J.P. Rosenbaum can celebrate their engagement in a big way and where better to do that than in the Big Apple.
Ashley and J.P. were joined by some of his friends for a celebratory dinner at Beauty and Essex on Friday night where the couple enjoyed the freedom of being a couple in public. A source said that Ashley was “such a good sport and took pictures” with some women from other bachelorette parties.
The lovebirds started their Saturday morning by grabbing some breakfast at Coffee Shop in Union Square and then later met up with friends and Ashley’s sister, Chrystie Hebert-Corns to walk around the city.
A friend said that J.P. and Ashley are thrilled that they don’t have to hide their relationship anymore, saying “they don’t have to keep this a secret anymore,” and another friend added, “They’re so happy to be able to just be a couple and show everyone how in love they are with one another.”
On Saturday night J.P. threw a party with roughly 40 of his friends at Casa La Femme, so that they could meet his future bride. The engagement cupcakes were made by ‘Cake Boss’ Buddy Valastro and an insider said that one of the cupcakes was “so heavy — it was red velvet and 9 inches tall. It took three of [J.P.’s friends] to pick it up!”
The night’s entertainment included belly dancers and Ashley was happy to get up and dance with them. A source said; “Ashley danced with the belly dancers. She’s such a good sport about it.”
