CBS is proving one thing to us at this very moment: they are very much in the Peter Lenkov business. However, we have to say that the executive producer’s newest project may have just as much to do with “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Person of Interest” as it does with “Hawaii Five-0.”
According to a new report from Deadline, Lenkov has scored another series in development at The Eye in an untitled drama which focuses on a wealthy tech billionaire who builds a state-of-the-art hospital in order to save his own life from a form of terminal cancer; however, he discovers something rather surprising along the way in that what he wants to do ultimately as much as anything else is try to help others live and be the healthiest people possible. Therefore, this is probably going to turn into some sort of state-of-the-art super-hospital for the people who need it the most.
Ultimately, we still do not have much of an idea at all as to how in the world this series is going to play out considering that the premise alone is certainly something that is hard to wrap your head around, and we have a feeling that the show as a whole is going to ultimately end up being some sort of case-of-the-week format that CBS does very well. A hospital drama would be a stretch for them, but the network has already seen from Lenkov that he can develop a concept and turn it into a ratings performer.
Based on the premise alone, what do you think about this idea for a show? If you do want to check out some more of the latest “Hawaii Five-0” casting news, there is really only one way to do so: heading on over to the link here.
